Listening to your notes

Have any note or book chapter read aloud, with a proper player and a queue.

The headphones button in a note header, or in the reader, starts reading aloud. A player bar appears with the usual transport controls, a queue, and a speed setting.

Choosing a voice

If your speech server stops responding

On the phone, SILONotes falls back to the device voice and keeps going. On the desktop there is currently no fallback and playback stops, so check your server if audio cuts out.

The player

A persistent player bar so you can keep browsing while something reads.
A queue, so a multi-chapter book plays straight through.
Playback speed control.
On Android, lock-screen and notification controls.

Generated audio is cached

Once a passage has been spoken, the audio is kept so replaying it is instant and costs nothing. Clear TTS Cache on the Data screen reclaims that space whenever you want it back.
